I received the cd in the mail about a week ago. Autechre is listed as
doing arrangements, instrumentation, and recording of a track for
Japanese Pop singer Mari Hamada. Maki Fujii (ex-Soft Ballet, Schaft) is
also listed as doing production work for about 4 songs.
I gave this disc several listens, and i must say that it's...pleasant.
I guess i'm just getting old :) It's ambient with a lot of pop
sensibilities, especially along the vocals. The Autechre track will
surprise a lot of their fans if they ever hear it.
